Five things it means to be a cat mom

Cats are unique and adorable creatures with many strange behaviors. Just like our children and dogs, cats bring so much pleasure to us. Their playful lifestyle makes them more charming than other pets. Being a cat mom has thought me to understand what they like and dislike.

This article highlights five things it means to be a cat mom.

Coping With Cat Aggression

Though cats are considered pets, yet their claws and teeth make them natural hunters and stalkers. No matter how calm and gentle my cat is, I still expect it to lie in wait, stalk and pounce. It took me a while but I had no choice than to cope with such aggression.

It’s not all fun and games to be a cat mom

This is probably the most unpleasant thing to do. Everyone wants to talk about a beautiful and healthy cat but no one wants to talk about the litter tray because it involves the elimination of bodily wastes. Cleaning the litter tray is a daily task that all cat moms have managed to cope with as they can’t run away from it. But as time went on, I purchased self-cleaning litter trays which did the job for me. The litter tray senses when the cat enters and leaves the box. As the cat leaves the box, a switch turns the automatic cleaner on so it starts sifting and raking the solids in the litter to a disposable unit. But as soon as your cat enters the box, the switch is automatically turned off to avoid mishaps while your cat is in there.

Moody and Weird Nature

Sometimes, cats tend to be really moody and weird. At one point, you find them think they are ready for a bath, they try to avoid it. Unlike dogs, cats don’t sit in the corner to wait for their foods. They will jump at their mom and share on their meal and even yours.

Spending For Cat Toys and Food

Cat moms are known to visit pet stores more often than dog owners. They love shopping for different toys, accessories, and supplies for their cats simply because they won’t let their cats roam around naked or bored. Cat moms are ready to do whatever it takes to cater for their cats regardless of the expenses.

Cat Moms Get Offended When Someone Says They Don’t Like Cats

Whether it was mistakenly voiced in the middle of a conversation or intentionally, cat moms get really pissed each time they hear people voice their hatred towards cats. To them, cats are basically the same as kids. They expect you to listen to them each time they talk about their cats the same way you’d listen when they talk about their baby.
